Awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal & The Alberta Heritage Awareness Award for writing an Alberta history themed historical fiction book for Alberta’s Centennial in 2005. Note: The 2nd Edition was written for the Calgary Stampede Centennial in 2012 and it became the Best Selling Stampede centennial book in Chapters/Indigo Book stores. The book is also ideal for the new Alberta curriculum that is being launched in the fall of 2025.
Awarded the Vice-Regal Commendation by Honourable Lois Mitchell, the former 18th Lieutenant Governor of Alberta , for significant Alberta history initiatives created during her 5 year term.
Awarded the City of Calgary, Community Achievement Award for Heritage.
Awarded the Governor General of Canada Sovereign Medal, for all the volunteer time sharing well researched Alberta history.
Awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for Alberta history initiatives, in 2023, fifty years after performing for Her Majesty at the opening of the Calgary Stampede in 1973.
