  • Awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal & The Alberta Heritage Awareness Award for writing an Alberta history themed historical fiction book for Alberta’s Centennial in 2005.
    Note: The 2nd Edition was written for the Calgary Stampede Centennial in 2012 and it became the Best Selling Stampede centennial book in Chapters/Indigo Book stores. The book
    is also ideal for the new Alberta curriculum that is being launched in the fall of 2025.
  • Awarded the Vice-Regal Commendation by Honourable Lois Mitchell, the former 18th Lieutenant Governor of Alberta , for significant Alberta history initiatives created during her 5 year term.
  • Awarded the City of Calgary, Community Achievement Award for Heritage.
  • Awarded the Governor General of Canada Sovereign Medal, for all the volunteer time sharing well researched Alberta history.
  • Awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for Alberta history initiatives, in 2023, fifty years after performing for Her Majesty at the opening of the Calgary Stampede in 1973.
  • Awarded Lifetime Distinguished Award, Oh Canada Awards Ceremony
  • Appointed Two-Time Judge for the Governor General of Canada History Awards.
  • Best Educational Program Nominee, 2023 Alberta Film & Television Award for The History Wrangler Show, seen across Canada on The Cowboy Channel.
  • Calgary Chamber of Commerce Achievement Award.
  • Re-named a section of Highway 19 to The Alberta Trail to educate Albertans that Alberta was born on the 1st day of the 9th month of the year.
  • Inspired former premier Jason Kenny to declare September 1st, Alberta Day, after he attended an Alberta Day event at Bow Valley Ranche.
